State Corporation “Roscosmos” (Roscosmos) is one of the world's largest players in the rocket and space industry. The implementation of the most complex projects, such as the design and launch of space rockets, is largely based on the branched structure of the corporation. Each of the 75 subsidiaries of the state corporation is responsible for its own pool of tasks. Among the most common are procurement of various kinds and the subsequent maintenance of a multi-stage document flow on them. All activities are carried out in strict accordance with the requirements of the Federal Law (FL) #223-FL and #44-FL.

The project is implemented on the basis of cooperation. The first business task that the system solves is the centralization of purchases of several dozens of territorially distributed organizations of Roscosmos. Instead of disparate purchases duplicating each other, the system makes it possible to produce one centralized one. This streamlines and greatly simplifies the business processes of the parent organization. Savings become the most important result. In addition, by making one purchase of a large volume, instead of many single ones, Roscosmos optimizes its costs. The mechanism is equally effective both for large highly specialized purchases and for small “routine” purchases, for example, office supplies.
Management tool. Proper planning and management of centralized procurement is not only a tool for cooperation. Directly related to the current projects of the corporation, the procurement automation system is a powerful management tool. With its help, it is possible to track the progress and stages of a task or project, monitor compliance with deadlines.
Basic functionality. To go beyond the standard capabilities of the procurement automation system, turning it into a tool for cooperation and management, allowed a detailed study of the basic functionality. The system allows to plan and carry out purchases, sum up the results of tenders, entry into contracts and generate all subsequent reports on them. This functionality is “wired” into the most simple and intuitive interface. Particular focus is placed on a flexible system for setting user rights. The permissions matrix, for example, allows to choose whether a particular row will be visible to a user or department in an enterprise.
The procurement system is also integrated with electronic trading platforms. In order to place a purchase on one or several electronic trading platforms, the customer needs to press just one button.
