Background

The transportation service request was assigned to a manager. The manager had to search for transportation fares in several price lists at the same time, each price list had its own calculation logic. The data were entered into Excel tables, where the cost of delivery and customs clearance were calculated, which took at least 2-3 hours for the optimal calculation of the route. The main difficulty was to correctly count customs payments according to the Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity (CN FEA) reference books, which included more than 200,000 values. The manager calculated and processed no more than 3 requests per day. Both complex routes from sea transport to road transport, as well as simpler ones, such as air transportation with 1 step were calculated.
